MMOs are coming to consoles in earnest. We are in an era of relatively ubiquitous internet connected machines, and publishers the world over are chasing after the reliable revenue stream an established MMO can provide. Right now, the biggest name is Destiny, Bungie’s shared world shooter that counts this writer among it’s many addicted players. That game is in a bit of a lull right now, however, and we just so happen to have Ubisoft’s The Division entering a closed beta this weekend. Will a new loot-based shooter be enough to steal my addiction?
