There was always a contradiction at the heart of Star Wars: Battlefront for me. It was, on a fundamental level, a pretty successful game: it was gorgeous, fun and engaging, with an almost miraculous translation of the essential Star Wars aesthetic into a videogame. The problem was that there just wasn’t a whole lot of it. Star Wars: Battlefront is one of several recent multiplayer-only titles that just launched pretty thin for a $60 retail game, even if there was the promise of DLC to come. We’ve seen a small amount of that already, but EA just announced the complete DLC schedule for the game, and there’s some pretty cool stuff coming.
