Why Human Resources Is Ripe For Disruption

When you think of all the roles and departments inside of an organization (and there are many!) I believe that HR is most ready for some massive change. Why? Out of all the functions HR has perhaps remained static for the longest period of time yet it is also the only department inside of our organizations that is focused on touching every single employee. HR used to be very structured and formal regarding legal, processes, rules and regulations. Today we are seeing new technologies, new approaches to recruiting, talent management, the evolution of organizations structures, employee engagement, feedback, transparency, and much more. All of these things are forcing us to evolve how we look at the people-centric aspect of how our organizations operate. In fact, the very title of Human Resources is slowing disappearing, and being replaced by titles such as, People Officers, Employee Experiences Officers, and Talent Officers.
