Leading LED manufacturer Cree (NYSE: CREE) is scheduled to report its Q2 fiscal 2016 earnings on January 19th (Fiscal years end with June). Though the company expects its LED component business to remain weak in the coming quarters, it expects to see continued growth momentum in its lighting business. Cree expects its second quarter revenue in the range $425 to $445 million, which is roughly flat as compared to the year ago period. However, the company is confident that new products and lower costs from its restructuring initiatives will help improve its revenue and profitability in fiscal 2016.
