Elon Musk opened the Detroit car show by saying a fully self-driving Tesla was just 2-3 years away. He’s been talking about the technology for a while, but as Tesla rolls out early versions of it to existing cars Musk seems to be gaining confidence the truly robotic vehicle is at hand.
