The Next Big Thing In Business: ‘App Economy’ For Enterprise Analytics

Apps are everywhere; and almost anyone, it seems, can create them! In my talks to executives at major corporations on how to build the Sentient Enterprise for advanced analytics, I cite the example of a teenager named Robert Nay. He used a free version of Corona SDK to create Bubble Ball, a mobile game for iPhone, iPad and Android that was downloaded 400,000 times the first day of its release. The game went on to unseat a free version of Angry Birds from its No. 1 spot in the Apple store. This was in 2011, when Robert was just 14-years old. He programmed the game all by himself in just over a month’s time.
