Apple CarPlay and Android Auto may be the interfaces-du-jour in the in-dash infotainment arena, but don’t count manufacturers out of the game. Today Toyota officially hopped on board with Ford’s Software Device Link (SDL) standard, signaling the second largest manufacturer’s intention to bring the app-integration fight to the Silicon Valley giants.
