There have been a number of discussion in recent weeks over the next-generation of screen technology that Apple will use in the iPhone. Apple continues to use LCD screens for its smartphones, and while the 2016 iPhone 7 family is expected to retain an LCD display, 2017’s iPhones look ready to switch to OLED for the next ‘S’ handsets.
