2015 Was A Great Year For Xbox One

2015 was a fine year for video games. The new generation has hit its stride, and it’s a welcome reprieve from the spotty and sometimes embarrassing mess we had in 2014. But for Microsoft’s Xbox One, the year carried with it a unique set of challenges.  The console entered the year still badly hobbled by the bungled launch in 2013 and made to look foolish by Sony’s ascendant PS4. CEO Satya Nadella had made it clear that Microsoft wasn’t going to be selling its gaming brand any time soon, and so Phil Spencer found himself tasked with turning that train around. And as the year draws to a close, I think he might just have done it.
