Dublin’s first Commissioner for Startups Niamh Bushnell says the city’s startup scene is set to grow at least 30% in 2016. Bushnell, an entrepreneur herself, was appointed last year to help grow Dublin’s startup community and help boost the Irish profiles of home-grown success stories whose provenance may not be well known. Originally from Ireland, Bushnell spent sixteen years in New York, where she launched two startups of her own before taking on the role for an independent, non-profit organization. We spoke recently about what makes Dublin a good city for startups and why the influence America and it’s culture is so valuable.
