It’s Christmas, and that means a whole lot of new PS4s and Xbox Ones are being plugged in for the first time. Those watching the industry were a little nervous coming into the big day: last year, DDOS attacks from Lizard Squad shut down both Xbox Live and Playstation Network, causing a whole lot of Christmas disappointment for anyone looking to do some online gaming with their new consoles, and similar threats had people wondering if the same thing was going to happen this year. So far, it doesn’t seem like any of the threats have come to fruition, but that doesn’t mean that PSN or Xbox Live are totally out of the woods.
