Foreign hardware and software makers are having a difficult time in China, after former U.S. intelligence contractor Edward Snowden revealed that the U.S. government used their gear for spying purposes. Beijing’s cyber security anxieties have since cast a chill over their operations, but that certainly didn’t stop Microsoft Corp. from cozying up to Beijing.
