There are many similarities between the open source Big Data stack, Hadoop, and the container orchestration engines (COE). Both are based on distributed computing paradigms, and more importantly, both are open source. A closer look at the design reminds us that they follow a similar architectural pattern. If Hadoop deals with data, container orchestration primarily deals with the compute layer.
