In October, MindGeek found itself on the opposite end of two lawsuits, each making the same basic allegation. The company, which owns eight of the 10 biggest porn sites on the Internet, filed a complaint against WGCZ S.R.O., the parent company of porn tube sites XVideos and XNXX. According to trade site XBiz, MindGeek claims “tens or hundreds of thousands” of its videos have been illegally hosted on XVideos and XNXX, which have been viewed in aggregate more than 100 million times. MindGeek claims WGCZ S.R.O. failed to respond to any of its DMCA requests to remove the videos and is demanding $150,000 for each of its videos hosted on the competitors tube sites.
