A few dozen hours into Fallout 4, things start to get deep. It’s the way of these games: you’ve made your way through the main quest, or at least most of it. You’ve populated your map with innumerable little landmarks representing dozens of small moments of discovery. You’ve got some gear, you’ve made some friends, you’ve started to feel at home. That’s when things start to shine. These games are all about the thing you overlooked — a little hole in the wall, a small moment of poignancy in the post apocalyptic nightmare. It can be a bit odd thinking about secrets, because nearly everything is a secret: a little black box somewhere out in the wasteland full of some strange thing you never thought you’d find. Even so, there are a few moments of strangeness in the wasteland that no player should miss, all for their own little reasons. There are so many more out there, probably even more that I’ve never heard of, but here are 5 of the best secrets we’ve found in Fallout 4 so far:
