There are a lot of halo Android smartphones on the market these days, with multiple new offerings from Google, Motorola, and HTC. But amongst the fanfair for new Nexus devices and the virtually shatterproof Motorola Droid Turbo 2, LG may have missed some well-deserved spotlight for their latest flagship device. I’ve been spending time over the past couple of weeks with the new LG V10 and it’s probably one of the biggest surprises for me as we roll into the usual Q4 fast and furious refresh cycle. I was pleasantly surprised I might add. LG was undoubtedly listening to feedback on their previous version G3 and G4 flagships, where compromises made in the company’s effort to maintain a removable backplate and user-serviceable battery, amounted to certain sacrifices in sturdy build quality. The LG V10 eschews all of those previous compromises with a vigor and brings valuable upgrades and features in the process as well.
