‘Fallout 4’ Gearing Up To Be One Of The Biggest Releases Of The Year

It’s been seven years since Fallout 3, and five years since The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. The people are ready to get lost again. Fallout 4 comes out tomorrow, marking a return to the post-apocalyptic wasteland for Bethesda’s signature sprawling sandbox games. Fallout’s sword and sorcery equivalent, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, became a bonafide pop culture phenomenon, and Fallout 4 looks to be continuing that upward trend. Judging by pre-release buzz, it looks like this could be the biggest game of the year save the indomitable Call of Duty, meaning that spouses and parents all over the world are going to need to pry players away from screens with force. Bethesda’s Pete Hines even gave us a collective doctor’s note over twitter: turns out we’ve to take tomorrow off to rest our pancreas.
