Ottava is Italian for octave. I should have guessed that really because hardly a day goes by without another handsome audio product cropping up called Concerto, Quartet, Symphony or some other such musical term. Many of these all-in-one systems pass me by but there’s something about the Technics Ottava – or SC-C500 to give it its less musical moniker – that caught my eye.
