Yes, yes, the new iPhone 6s line has been out for just over a month. But that hasn’t stopped Ming-Chi Kuo, arguably the top analyst covering Apple, from predicting what’s to come in 2016. His latest research notes, obtained by AppleInsider, contain a few details about possible differentiation between the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus as well as some news that should excite folks who long for a return to the days of smaller smartphones. Kuo sees Apple bringing out an all-new 4-inch model in 2016 that will fill out the “low end” of the Apple line, much as the iPhone 5c once tried to. But unlike the 5c, this new “6c” would have a metal chassis and an A9 processor — the same chip that currently powers the 6s and 6s Plus models.
