This might be the first year I could wholeheartedly recommend gamers upgrade to either a PS4 or an Xbox One. This generation of consoles has gone through the usual early cycle blues, with games like Titanfall and Watch Dogs actually serving as highlights in an industry still learning its way around new hardware. Xbox One had a rougher time than most, struggling not only with the lackluster software of any new console but also with the need to totally reinvent Microsoft’s platform philosophy. 2015, though? 2015 has been great. We started off with the PS4 exclusive Bloodborne, and just kept rolling from there: The Witcher 3, Metal gear Solid 5, The Taken King, and much more to come next week. It’s a good time to make the switch.
