General Electric (GE) has been on a mission to consolidate upon its industrial software business for much of this current decade. Like its industry competitors in this space such as Hitachi Data Systems and IBM, GE is a firm that focuses on not just the IoT, but the ‘industrial’ Internet of Things (IIoT) in applications from aerospace to healthcare.
