Out-of-stream Video Ads Improve Performance By ‘Applying The Right Math’

“We saw two big trends,” said  Mark Yackanich, CEO of Genesis Media, in a recent interview. “The first one was with advertisers — they wanted to move dollars from television into digital video channels, but, there is a  relatively limited supply of good places to put those video ad dollars, surprisingly. The second one was with publishers — I was watching newspapers, magazines and local broadcasters work with a failing core business model. They create great content; they build, they have a loyal following, they have a strong brand. But right now they’re monetizing with display and they are desperate to find alternatives.”
