Although CaixaBank is Spain’s leading bank and an early-adopter of fintech, it uses digital to innovate the relationships its 32,000 people have with their clients and, thereby, maintain its competitive advantage against other tech offerings.
“The depth and quality of our customer relationships are what differentiates us,” said Benjamí Puigdevall, Head of Electronic Channels for CaixaBank. “So our tech innovation is focused on making those relationships closer. What digital banking means for us isn’t different from what CaixaBank means.”
Puigdevall outlined four areas of what he called ‘transformation strategy’ that CaixaBank is pursuing to weave digital into the fabric of its offering.
