There’s good news: Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate is really fun. It’s also drop-dead gorgeous. It’s a massive improvement over the buggy mess that was Unity, with some of the best characters in the series and some seriously satisfying mechanics. And yet, there’s something missing. Early sales have been fine, but nowhere close to Assassin’s Creed games of yore. To some, this is likely a mystery. It’s fun! People like Assassin’s Creed, and they like fun! So what’s wrong here?
