Blame it on the hipster movement, Hollywood celebrities or Australian football—it’s clear that beards have been making a comeback. And, as it turns out, this may tell us something about the state of gender relations today. According to a recent survey we conducted using Qualtrics, and soon to appear in Archives of Sexual Behavior, men who choose to wear facial hair tend to value traditional gender roles over men who choose to be clean-shaven.
