The sharing economy is trending towards normality in many markets. Getting into an Uber car with a total stranger or letting someone sleep in your house with AirBnb is not a big deal anymore. By bringing under-utilized resources online and connecting it to demand, these collaborative consumption businesses have scaled extremely fast. PwC projects the sharing economy will grow to US$335 billion globally by 2025.
