Remember: it’s all about the viewpoints. Yes, there is combat in Assassin’s Creed, even a storyline, but that’s never really what this game has been about. Get on something high, let the music play, and just watch. The first Assassin’s Creed was a boring, repetitive mess of a non-existent storyline, but damn if it didn’t nail that moment. Years later, the series has continued to become one of the most prolific in video games on style rather than substance — but oh, what style. Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate may not have the best gameplay of some other games out there, but it is most certainly pretty.
