Instead of building more power plants and wind farms to meet rising electricity demand, how about moving that demand around during the day so that it?s more evenly distributed and we won?t have to fire up power plants just for a short time. That?s known as Demand Response. New technologies, from companies like EnerNOC, allow customers to tap into this new area of energy efficiency, saving money and decreasing the need to build more power plants, an interesting twist on how states can meet the goals of EPA?s Clean Power Plan, and get even ordinary citizens involved in solving our energy future.
