Video game voice actors are out for a better deal, and now they’ve got a powerful tool in their hands. SAG-AFTRA Union members voted 96.52 percent in favor of giving the National Board authority to strike, reinforcing the votes cast earlier by prominent voice actors such as Jennifer Hale, Wil Wheaton and David Hayter. The official announcement is pretty clear that a strike isn’t happening yet, but that now, it can:
“It is important to note that the referendum result does not mean that members are on strike, rather, it gives the National Board the authority to declare a strike. A 75% “yes” vote was required to give the National Board that authority.
