The force awakens, or something along those lines. EA and Dice are taking the wrapper off of their long-awaited Star Wars: Battlefront in the form of an open beta across PC, Xbox One and PS4, going live at 1 PM EST. It’s a similar strategy to what we’ve seen with a few open betas in the past: it’s one part beta, one part demo. While I’m sure that EA is going to be using this information to fine tune the gameplay balance, the game is fairly close to complete, and I can’t help but imagine that the main purpose of this beta is to drum up excitement for the full release of Star Wars: Battlefront.
