What looks most likely to me is that Sharp’s best assets–including its wonderful LCD product technology and manufacturing capacity–will be wholly or partially sold, as has already been partially done with Hon Hai. My guess is that the buyers (whether directly or through intermediaries, not excluding Hon Hai) will be mainland Chinese interests.
