The Problem With Destiny’s Weird ‘Sleeper Simulant’ Quest

Bungie knows how to make a shooter. Nobody’s questioning that. A year into Destiny and its safe to say that they’ve learned some important lessons about how to make an MMO, too — hard fought lessons, as anyone who played the game last year can attest. But as things like the raids, The Black Spindle event, and today’s appearance of the strange Sleeper Simulant Quest “The First Firewall” prove, they’re also taking some pretty big steps into a new form of game development: puzzle design. And just like their first attempts at MMOs, the results are mixed.
