Android dominates the volume-based market share charts, but Apple’s smartphone plans have never been about volume, it’s been about revenue and profit. Performing well purely in the premium phone market not only offers Apple a number of monetary benefits, but it also allows the company to squeeze Android manufacturers and restrict their options to fight the iPhone juggernaut.
