When you ask a consumer what comes to mind when they think of Ford, “trucks” will likley be the first answer. Given the Ford F-Series has been the best-selling vehicle in America for decades, and looks poised to maintain that status, this shouldn’t surprise anyone. At Kelley Blue Book we’re tracking nearly 500,000 sales for the F-150 after eight months, while its closest competitor, the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, is running at around 387,000 trucks. To put that number in perspective, the F-Series has sold more units this year than every Acura, Audi and BMW vehicle combined.
