About six years after Imgur CEO Alan Schaaf founded the image-sharing service, the site, which is especially popular among millennial males, has reached a whopping 150 million monthly active users — equivalent to about half of the monthly users on Twitter.

Schaaf and his sister, Imgur’s community manager Sarah Schaaf, talked about the site’s growth and what makes it different from other online communities in an interview on Tuesday.
