In a bid to strengthen Bluemix, the Cloud Foundry-based Platform as a Service (PaaS), IBM has acquired a well-known player in the Node.js community, Strongloop. This move enables IBM to target JavaScript developers building APIs, microservices, and mobile backend applications.
