Technology vendors love to talk about ‘transformation’, it’s their way of selling up new cloud services and pushing us towards a world of software-defined everything. As inevitable (and indeed productively efficient) as these new approaches are, there’s a painful grinding noise reverberating around the enterprise IT space as firms worry about the journey ahead.
