At the end of the seventies, author Haruka Takachiho started a series of science-fiction novels that dealt with a complex space based future where rules were often ignored. In among that were the galactic handymen called Crushers. These figures took on dangerous jobs to protect space lanes from debris as well as helped in emergencies or even the terraforming of planets. The main rule they all had to abide by was that they couldn?t take on any illegal jobs; if they did they would be banned from the Crusher ranks.
