Apple launched a new Twitter feed today: “App Store Games.” It’s a dedicated channel that talks about, you guessed it, games on the app store: “Embrace the future of gaming,” reads the description. “Straight from our Games Editors.” Any other week, and this would just be a totally normal, if oddly late thing to do. Huge numbers of people play games via the App store, and Apple already has a gaming editorial team, so a Twitter feed just makes sense. The fact that it’s happening today, however, leads me to believe that gaming is going to play a major role in the upcoming Apple TV.
