There was something vaguely unsettling in how Consumer Reports this week crowed that the new Tesla Model S P85D is so good that it “broke” the magazine’s vaunted vehicle-rating system, on which millions of Americans depend for what they believe are the most honest and untainted automotive  evaluations that they can find.
