Play This: Send The Most Soul-Crushing Mail Of Your Life In ‘Unsolicited’

You might know developer Lucas Pope from Papers, Please, the game where you man a border checkpoint in fictional Arstotzka, deciding who to let in and who to turn away. Papers kinda blew up when it came out, in both financial and critical terms. Most one-person games are lucky just to get a mention at bigger outlets, but its success was no fluke. Pope makes the game crackle with detail, from the deviously small amount of space the player has to arrange innumerable documents and folders when vetting potential immigrants to the brief glimpses of the protagonist’s increasingly desperate home life (who gets to eat this week? do you have enough money for heat?).
