Getting into Rock Band 4 from scratch is no cheap proposition. The “Band in a Box” version of the game, which contains everything you need to play except a console, will run you all the way up to $249.96 on either Xbox One or PS4 — some might argue it’s a small price to pay for one of the best party games of all time. But developer Harmonix is also including a slightly more wallet-friendly bundle aimed at either longtime fans or anyone that’s willing to do some wading through craigslist and eBay to pick up some used instruments. There’s something funny about the software-only bundle, however: it comes in at 79.99 on Xbox one, but a standard $59.99 on PS4.
