Four Tips For A Successful Hybrid Union

Isn’t it somewhat amazing that weddings actually “work?” The bride and groom unite this far-flung collection of people and service providers for an event and expect it all to mesh. Where else would this bunch—your high school chums, the ladies from work, that uncle who smells like potatoes—ever be in the same room, let alone doing the Chicken Dance together? Today’s hybrid IT environments remind me of a wedding. Companies pull together independent application stacks, vendors, and facilities into a single portfolio and expect it to all work effectively. Of course IT has to make it all work over a prolonged period—not just for a single (albeit) special day.
