When I graduated college I was excited to join the corporate world. I had a dual B.A. in Business Management Economics and Psychology. I thought I’d go back to school to get my MBA and eventually climb the corporate ladder to be an executive somewhere. That plan was destroyed within a year of graduating college after an executive at my first job asked me to get him coffee and after I was denied the opportunity to attend a conference I won a pass for at my second job. It’s been around 8 years since these things happened, 8 years since I’ve worked full-time for anyone else, and 8 years since I first became interested in the future of work and how the workplace is changing.
