For those of us of a certain age, the first exposure to cool technology came from the golden age of spies – the 1960s. The peak moment for us? It was in every James Bond film when 007 visited Q to gather his cool equipment that would save Bond’s scalp later in the film. But on a weekly basis, at least during what was once considered the traditional TV season, we could see what the men from UNCLE were doing to save the world from evil forces. And besides their clever spy skills and witty dialogue, there were a handful of cool gizmos that gave them the edge. It is interesting to note that Ian Fleming (the creator of agent 007) advised the creators of “The Man From UNCLE.”
