Windows 10, Microsoft’s answer to widespread complaints about its 8 operating system, has enticed millions of users try upgrades. Their shift from Windows 7 or 8 to 10 on existing devices would not appear at first to drive sales of new PCs. But analysts expect the operating system that combines the best of 7 and 8 eventually to motivate new orders from Taiwan’s major developers Acer and Asustek.
