In yesterday’s quarterly report from Activision, a few headlines emerged, including the troubling fact that World of Warcraft has lost 44% of its subscribers in the last six months. I’ve spent some time discussing this, and the good news is that both Blizzard and Activision seem to be making up the difference in other ways with new hits like Hearthstone and Destiny. But one success story is being overlooked: Diablo 3.
