Anything is possible in the fantasy world of video games. So why is it so hard to imagine Lara Croft with a muffin top or Cortana with thunder thighs?
Even as video games have increasingly realistic graphics, the way they depict the female body is anything but average. Now Bulimia.com, a resource for people suffering from eating disorders, has visualized how some of the most famous video game heroines might look if they more closely represented the average woman’s body.
“If video game creators are going to pride themselves on accurate digital representations, then it’s time for them to get real about women,” the site reads.
