Scientists love finding unexplained phenomena, and last week’s first close-up images of Pluto gave them enough to chew on for months to come. They expected a landscape of craters – small, medium and large craters as we see on the surface of the moon, Mercury and all other solid bodies in our solar system that lack volcanoes or other means of resurfacing.
