The term “cyberwar” does not exist as a legal term of art but its colloquial use will undoubtedly continue in popular discourse. Rather than bandy the term about for dramatic effect, the public should move colloquial use of the term “cyberwar” towards a more productive, structured discussion about the law of war as applied to cyber operations.
